How does a free state work?
The start of your form of governance is at the township level. An election is held with paper ballots and is witnessed by volunteers that apply for the position as vote managers.
Candidates are required to present a brief biography and answer a number of questions pertinent to the township they live in. the bio and the questions are posted on the township website, town hall and other high traffic areas for all to see and review prior to the election. The bio and the questions with answers are sworn to and notarized with the understanding that the testimony is made under penalty of purgery. Anyone that lies in their bio or deviates from the answers to the questions is to be removed from office and prosecuted immediately for his or her attempt at fraudulently representing themselves for personal gain.
The only advertising allowed in a campaign is the bio and the answers to the questions. Town hall debates are permitted to make others from the township comfortable with the candidate. There may be more than
one Trustee per township based on population.
Once elected the town trustee would conduct town meetings and conduct business for the township. He or she would also be one of thirty-six town trustees in your county. From that pool of thirty-six one would
be selected to represent your county at the state level.
The one selected as county trustee would chair meetings with the town trustees when called to coordinate needs in the county as a whole.
From the pool of 72 county trustees one would be selected to chair meetings with the county trustees and coordinate needs of the statewide infrastructure, judicial system and grand juries.
The number of trustees may change based on population and the addition of municipal trustees to handle business of cities and villages. A formula will be made for a working ratio of population to trustee and agreed
upon by all.
This simple form of governance will not only be transparent at all times but eliminate the political party system, lobbyists and special interest influence on the way you governance operates. All of your elected servants are only town trustees and the one selected to county or state trustee is only a referee for the county and state meetings. All of the qualifications for office holders are documented in your document for governance and the bio’s and questions with answers are to be posted at all levels of governance and all websites.
